Project Brief

The most difficult customer is when a builder builds a new home for his family. Expectations are high from everyone. For my family, the key requirement was obtaining a good sized rear yard for our children to play in followed by ensuring we had a good outdoor covered entertaining area.

My personal requirements have been to following some building methods from the USA such as cladding the entire frame in ply board before wrapping the building and following some other energy efficient building methods from the USA that improve the overall energy rating and thermal efficiency of the home. The home as can be seen above will be built using Austral masonry blocks, with Red Cedar cladding and rendered surfaces on the upper story. All roofs are in Colorbond. The home is mixture of traditional design with several contemporary materials and finishes that has been custom designed to make it unique.
